Kyphoplasty, Vertebroplasty and Sacroplasty

Our interventional radiologists specialize in innovative procedures to address spinal concerns and pain primarily from osteoporosis. With our advanced, image-guided, minimally invasive procedures, including Kyphoplasty, Vertebroplasty, and Sacroplasty, we focus on repairing and stabilizing fractured or compressed vertebrae. These procedures offer a comprehensive approach to renewing strength and stability and provide patients with effective solutions for spinal issues.

Kyphoplasty

The procedure: a precision approach

Kyphoplasty is a state-of-the-art, minimally invasive technique designed to address fractured or compressed vertebrae. Utilizing advanced image guidance, a small balloon catheter is carefully introduced into the affected vertebrae. By inflating the balloon, fractures are elevated, compressing the inner bone to create a cavity. A cement mixture is then injected to restore the vertebrae’s original shape and height. Many patients report pain relief and improved mobility within 48 hours after the procedure.

Vertebroplasty is an image-guided intervention focused on restoring fractured vertebrae. This procedure involves the injection of a cement mixture into the affected vertebrae, effectively returning them to their original shape and height.

Sacroplasty is a specialized procedure targeting sacral fractures. Using advanced image guidance, specialists inject a cement mixture into the sacrum to stabilize fractures and restore strength.

Following Kyphoplasty, Vertebroplasty, or Sacroplasty, patients can expect a significant enhancement in the strength and stability of the treated vertebrae. These advanced, image-guided interventions not only effectively address immediate concerns related to osteoporosis-related compression but also contribute to overall spinal health and well-being. These spinal procedures can help you return to activities you enjoy.
